The deadline for Stage 2 is fast approaching. You have until December 5th, by midnight Pacific Time.

The first mini-challenge (Stage 1) has begun! In this stage, we are looking for innovative ideas where you can make a difference. As part of Ericsson's commitment to using Technology for Good in a networked society, we are calling on you to develop apps focused on solving global challenges such as education, poverty alleviation, refugees, disaster relief, agriculture, access to energy, transportation solutions, smart homes and buildings, and weather.

Ericsson welcomes developers, students and entrepreneurs to innovate in the direction of the Networked Society. The Network Society is an Ericsson vision targeting a combination of mobility, broadband, the cloud, applications and services for an empowered society.
The purpose with the EAA 2012 theme, "Apps for the Networked Society" is to broaden the scope to promote innovations from a variety of environments, places and situations, etc. and by connecting people, things and places that empower people and society.
Again, you are most welcome to participate in EAA 2012 with your brilliant ideas for the Networked Society.

Our second year of competition has come and gone and now we are preparing for next year’s competition. Looking back we have seen some impressive contributions and we hope to see even more in the coming months.
If you would like to enter a team in the competition, ensure you read the overview page and rules for submission.
The details for the 2012 competition have yet to be decided, but in the meantime you can form a team and browse through the Ericsson Labs APIs.
