Eligibility as thesis student
==================
My first question is, as a student if I am already involved in a project which is commercial in nature, but being done at the University as part of my Thesis, would that be acceptable. Like most industrial thesis in Sweden, I am entitled to a small compensation at the end of the project and a business plan is already chalked out.
I am involved with Encubator AB((http://encubator.com/) at my university (http://chalmers.se).
I would be working on a software solution which could come under the category of : sustainable, but it is at present meant for municipalities. Let's just say that there is a need for route optimization for the municipalities.
ANSWER
It is ok if you have an approval from the owner of the master thesis project. Also, if the owner of the master thesis project is an enterprise then you need a written statement from the enterprise stating no claims to the results and the application submitted to the competition.
intellectual property/code
=================
The terms of agreement say that Ericcson may give out code in public.
I can convince the eventual owners of the codebase to let reviewers see that Erricson APIs are indeed used in the system, as well as arrange for a public demo. But allowing Erricon to change/publish codebase in public won't be acceptable.
Am I understanding the terms right (when you say that code can be published on a public website giving every one access to it?)
ANSWER
Submitted codebase will be available for Ericsson reviewers only.
We will publish working prototype applications at Ericsson Labs showroom and make the applications available for test and demo.
Deployment of Web Apps
================
Also, when it comes to Mobile Apps deployment is simple, but when it comes to WebApplications deployment can be very sophisticated. In the latter case how will it be handled.
ANSWER
Application prototypes will be uploaded to Ericsson Labs showroom for test and demo purposes.
We support upload of files (e.g. *.jar) or links (e.g. a link to the web page hosting the actual web app)
